Date Selection Guide
When selecting your rental dates, the first date you enter should be the date of your event. Your return date must be the next available weekday.
This allows us to work with the NZ postal system, give us enough time to receive, clean and prepare garments for future bookings. Our booking system will also automatically block out time around each rental for garment preparation so there is no crossovers.
If you select additional rental days without prior approval, your booking may be charged an extended rental fee or cancelled.
If you need your garment to arrive before your event date because you are travelling, going away, or require it for another reason, please contact us or leave a note on your order with:
- The date you need the garment by
- The date of your actual event
We will then assess whether an extended rental fee applies.
Weekday Rentals
For events held Monday to Thursday, select your event date and the next available weekday as your return date.
Weekend Rentals
For events held Friday, Saturday or Sunday, select your event date and the following Monday as your return date.
Public Holidays
If a public holiday falls immediately after your event, still select the public holiday as your return date when booking.
For example, if Monday is a public holiday, continue to select Monday as your return date. Your thank-you card included with your garment will confirm that the actual return is due on Tuesday, as Post Shops are closed on public holidays.
We treat public holidays the same as weekends for rental purposes, so you will not be charged extra for a public holiday.
Additional Days
Rentals must be returned on the next available weekday, unless a public holiday affects the return date as explained above. Keeping a garment for additional days without prior approval will be considered an extended booking.
Additional days may incur an extended rental fee, or your booking may be cancelled.
